What is PAWSitive InterAction?
PAWSitive InterAction Inc., a non-profit alliance of premier
local organizations, is bound together by a common commitment
to promote and celebrate the positive impact of the human-animal
bond. The group's mission is to collectively connect the
community with resources, expertise and education designed
to further understanding of the positive benefits of the relationships
between humans and animals.
PAWSitive InterAction was initiated by Merial, the world's
leading animal health company, as a way to contribute to the
metro Atlanta community after relocating its headquarters
here in April, 2001.
The principal activities of PAWSitive InterAction are an annual
educational summit on the human-animal bond and a white paper
summarizing the scientific research presented at the summit.
